A full science curriculum created for busy parents with curious kids!
• Clear, expert guidance
• Fun, hands-on explorations
• Reuseable household items
• Ages 7-11
Does teaching science make you squirm?
What's the best curriculum? How to choose projects? How to troubleshoot when things don't work? Let me help guide your child in science this year! The projects are developed by me, Professor K, an enthusiastic scientist who has over 30 years experience teaching kids at all levels.
Do you have a growing pile of one-time-use science gadgets?
Science Rockstar Kids doesn't rely on a shipment of plastic specialty equipment to teach science. Rather, it provides a space for creative experiences with household items and open-ended kid-guided projects that develop critical thinking skills and creativity.
Are your kids getting REAL science experiences?
Science does NOT always work as expected - but in this program we celebrate learning no matter the outcome! As your child works through each projects, they are encouraged to diverge from the initial plans in order to answer their "What If?" questions on the spot. This is a great program for Unschoolers.

Hi, I'm Karen McFarlane Holman, Ph.D.
I strongly believe that:
• Learning science can happen ANYWHERE - it does not require having special equipment.
• Gaining CONFIDENCE in science is connected to doing experiments first-hand and feeling free to explore unknown territory.
• FUN & CONNECTIONS between children and their adults are strengthened when they explore together.

What you can expect from this outstanding program
The themes are fun, engaging, and relevant! EVERY WEEK we show you everything you need to carry out super cool and open-ended STEM experiments. They are inspired by a theme, such as "Potions and Motions" in October and "Wind & Water" in March.
Weekly Preview Videos
Parents consistently say how big of a difference the videos make each week, saying that it energizes their kids. Whether it's because of Griffin the corgi's cuteness or Professor K's excitement, it's a great kickoff to each project! Check out this video showing the first couple minutes of a Preview Video from February 2021.
Hands-on Explorations on your own schedule
Science Rockstar Kids is perfect for families who want to maintain a flexible schedule. The weekly videos and written instructions are great guides, and we have two ways to get your questions answered, too!
Worksheets + Materials Lists
Some kids focus on doing the experiments with no writing at all. Others want to learn to write notes and observations. There are a lot of different types of learners out there! We also include a "What If...?" question at the end, to imagine beyond what was done in the project.
Materials are all easy-to-find household items to maximize reuse and minimize waste.
One of the best parts about science is sharing ideas and discoveries! We'll talk live in real time during the monthly Q&A sessions. In our Private Facebook group, questions are asked/answered and parents can share photos and videos in a place where learning is celebrated. We have created a light and positive space there!
Live Q&A with Professor K
Every other week we'll meet and talk about the projects or any of your other burning science questions!! Check out this video to get an idea of what it's like. [Live Q&A is for Gold Program members. Read on for more information!]
We are confident that you and your child will love Science Rockstar Kids! However, if you are not happy, please contact us within 14 days after your first project begins to receive a refund.
